A Spectrum of Infinite Scale
This album turned out to be Man or Astro-man?'s swan song, and they certainly left on a high note.
More ambient and noise driven than their earlier works, A Spectrum of Infinite Scale contains great instrumental tracks, and even greater titles. I mean, how can you not love a song called Obligatory Part 2 Song in Which There Is No Presently Existing Part 1, Nor the Plans to Make One, or the Song of the Two-Mile Linear Particle Accelerator Stanford University, Stanford California?
Perhaps the greatest thing on the album is the performance art piece, A Simple Text File. The song is completely made up of noise from an old Apple Image Writer II dot matrix printer. A treasure that I had the great fortune to see performed live.
