Now, I love Barbarella the Movie, but one of the reasons why I love the movie (aside from costume and set design) is the soundtrack. In fact, I used to watch the movie just to hear the music. Thankfully they released it on CD, and I can get my fill of 60s greatness anytime I want.
This is possibly the greatest psychadellic album ever made, with some 60s pop songs (Love Drags Me Down, An Angel is Love) thrown in for some good times. Another fun fact is that David Gilmour was a session guitarist for the album, as if you couldn't tell just by listening. That said, this album is a bit like Pink Floyd meets Burt Bacharach, two great tastes that taste great together.
