In 2002 and after 8 years of album hiatus, Boston released Corporate America. The album got a push from the label, apparently and after hearing about 20 seconds of the title track on a tv commercial I picked it up. Wow, is this album bad.
The album opens with I Had a Really Good Time, which features new addition to the band Kimberly Dahme. It's an ok pop song and the best song on the album, but it is nowhere near as good as the Boston of old. The only other song thats listenable is Corporate America, which is really only listenable because of the style harkens to old Boston. The lyrics are trite and political, and all the advertisments for left wing associations on the back of the liner notes just go to show that Tom and co. have lost their minds.
