Hall of the Mountain King
Mountain King is the earliest Savatage album I own, and it's also my least favorite. Aside from Strange Wings, I never listen to anything on this album. I bought it, mostly because of Prelude to Madness, which is Grieg's Hall of the Mountain King done with guitars and keyboards. Mainstream people will recognize it as The Mountain from TSO's extremely crapppy and inexplicably well selling Night Castle.
The album just sounds lackluster. I don't know if it's just the poor production values, or the fact that Savatage had not evolved into their later sound yet, but this album gets almost no airplay in my rotation.
