The Killers managed to capture the 80s nostalgia of the mid 2000s and put it to some good use with their breakout album Hot Fuss. The Las Vegas band put out an album that was easily one of the best of the decade and paved the way for the neo wave movement.
The album starts off strong with Jenny Was a Friend of Mine and Mr Brightside. Mixed in there is Smile Like You Mean it, with its 1920's radio voice vocals before hitting the other two singles, Somebody Told Me and All These Things That I've Done.
It's been a while since rock bands were allowed to make dance music. The Grunge of 90s and the mall core of the early 2000s presented a bleak outloook. Thank You, The Killers, for making Rock fun again.
