In Nineteen Hundred and Seventy Six, the Lord did speak to Kerry Livgren, and thus Leftoverture was given to us. While Kansas is best known as everybody's guilty pleasure band (as very few will admit to liking them), Carry On My Wayward Son is one of the most played tracks on rock radio, right up there with Aerosmith's Dream On.

Carry On My Wayward Son was the song that put Kansas on the map (ha!), but the rest of the album is equally as brilliant. From the introspeciton of The Wall and Questions of My Childhood to the absolute awesome that is Miracles Out of Nowhere, the album just keeps the energy up. The last track, appropriately named Magnum Opus, is an eight and a half minute epic chock full of proggy goodness.

I know you'll like this album, even if you pretend you don't.
