Live at the Marquee

Live at the Marquee was Dream Theater's first live album and contains songs mostly from Images and Words. At six tracks it pales in comparison to the double and triple live albums that would follow.

The version of Surrounded on this album is amazing. In fact I once heard it come up on shuffle and thought that I had calibrated my speakers differently or something, before realizing it was the live version and not the I&W version. You also get to hear James take on The Killing Hand on this album, which has its plusses over the Charlie version.

This is a Dream Theater fans only cd. Actually, I think that most of Dream Theater's stuff is fans only. Ha.
