New Miserable Experience
It sometimes amazes me that The Gin Blossoms faded into relative obscurity after releasing this album. How many other albums released in 1992 ended up having two top 25 singles? I guess it's just because the Gin Blossoms make generic poprock music that everyone seems to like, but never gets super popular.
Normally I don't like these albums I bought in 1993 because I liked 2 or 3 singles, but Hey Jealousy is still one of my all time favorite songs. The rest of the album is pretty decent, but nothing to write home about. It's a solid poprock album, true, but not so groundbreaking that anyone remembers anything but Hey Jealousy close to 20 years later.
