Songs for the Wrong
Whenever GWAR decides that the music they put out is just too serious, they'll often put out music under the guise of different bands. In this case, we see the second offering of the band fronted by GWAR frontman Dave Brockie, a.k.a. Oderus known as The Dave Brockie Experience.
If you're looking for high brow music, progressive stylings, or even that dont offend, than this is not the album for you. However, if irreverant, offensive, stripped down punky metal is what you're after, Dave Brockie's gonna scratch your itch. Songs like Should the Ugly Girl Blow Me and March of the Faggot Soldiers are going to make you laugh, so long as you aren't easily offended.
There are two songs that rise above the gutter on this album. I Wanna Be a Squirrel, though rife with sexual innuendo, is a great, happy punk song, that everyone can relate to. The other track, Churchmouse in the Snow, seems to be out of place on the otherwise irreverant album. Had you heard it in isolation you would never realize that it came from the the same guy who on another track complains that he couldn't get enough dicks in his butt when he went to Mars.
