The Cars

The Cars came on the scene in 1978 with this eponymous album. Just like other eponymous debuts of the era (Boston, Van Halen) this album is pure classic. Every track could have been a single, and in fact, six of the nine songs get major radio airplay even today. And, we can't forget that Cameron Crowe wrote Fast Times at Ridgemont High just to play Moving In Stereo in that one scene.
